New York City Is Bustling With New Bakeries

New eating places and bars appear to open daily in New York City and these lovely bakeries are the most noteworthy.

Angelina Bakery

Bombolini is overflowing with croissant-esque cornetti and Nutella are a few of the baked items made recent day by day at this new Italian bakery in midtown. Along with pastries, the bakery has lunch choices like four-cheese focaccia, sandwiches and pizza, whole cakes and an espresso program.

Golden Diner

 New York could also be slowly shedding its classic diners (most recently, Terrace Diner in Bayside); nevertheless, it’s gained a brand new-school take in Chinatown. This place from Momofuku Ko alum Samuel Yoo, and focuses on New York Citie’s dinner tradition with a menu of avocado toast with lemongrass and turmeric, self-made granola and yogurt, a chicken katsu club and baked items like green tea espresso cake, with components sourced from area farms and purveyors.


The Japanese ramen chain continues to develop its NYC footprint. Along with areas in Bushwick and midtown, now you can get its tonkotsu ramen in Times Square. It’s the most significant NYC location but, with two ranges for group or solo eating (the latter within the restaurant’s signature “flavor concentration booths”). Past the traditional tonkotsu ramen (skinny noodles served in a pork-bone broth), the menu consists of matcha pudding in the dessert menu and Japanese beer and soda to drink.

The Poni Room

Its spring time and NoHo is getting a rosé-centered restaurant. Situated beneath Saxon + Parole, the newest undertaking from AvroKO Design and AvroKO Hospitality Group will include an Asian-influenced, seafood-heavy menu from cooks Brad Farmerie and Nicole Gajadhar, with dishes like uni toast, coconut laksa, and a lobster bake served with bao buns, lettuce wraps, and home-made sauces. As for the rosé, discover 20 different pink wines by the glass, bottle, on tap and frozen. Identical to the AvroKO spots Saxon + Parole and Ghost Donkey, this one is equine-themed, too.
